About the artist

I'm both an artist and a painter, with a deep passion for guitars, especially the vintage ones. In the year 1965, during Christmas, my parents surprised me with an electric guitar that they had hidden away. Curiosity got the best of me, and I ventured into the closet to discover a beautiful baby blue Fender Mustang. It's amusing to think that for just an extra twenty dollars, they could have purchased a Stratocaster instead, but I was absolutely thrilled nonetheless. The guitar had that intoxicating newness about it, and the scent was irresistible.

From that moment on, I was completely captivated by the world of guitars. I began taking lessons at Maple Leaf Music in San Jose and had the privilege of playing alongside numerous musicians in the Bay Area. My journey even led me to learn from Pat Simmons of the Doobie Brothers, and I also had the experience of lugging amplifiers for the Fritz Rabbi Memorial band, which would later transform into the iconic Fleetwood Mac (I held onto Lindsey's gold top LP for quite a while).

Today, my artistic focus lies in creating paintings that celebrate these epic guitars and the people who play them. Through my art, I aim to convey the profound emotions and sensations that come with finding that perfect connection between a musician and their instrument. I invite you to explore my collection of paintings, which faithfully depict historically accurate instruments, each piece telling its own unique story.
