The Gretsch White Falcon

Few guitars have ever made an entrance quite like the White Falcon.

Introduced by Gretsch in the 1950s as a showpiece of everything the company could create, the White Falcon was extravagant from the beginning—gleaming white finish, gold hardware, oversized body and unmistakable appointments. It wasn't designed to disappear into the background.

That is exactly what drew me to paint it.

My Gretsch White Falcon captures the character of this extraordinary instrument as a piece of American design—part guitar, part sculpture, and one of the most recognizable silhouettes in music.

The original painting and a selection of fine-art reproductions are now available from Guitar Fine Art.
